Art Competition

 The Competition Brief

All you had to do is submit a piece of your own original artwork. The theme was set as 'Memories of Summer'. It could have been a memory of previous summers, inspiration from your most recent holiday or simply a day at home.

The competition was open to all readers of the Lindfield Life, the entries were judged by a panel that includes local artists Leesa Le May and Artyfect's own resident artist Julia Maynard.

All the entries will be displayed in a 'Lindfield art trail' in High Street shop windows from Friday 25th September to Sunday 4th October 2009.

The categories for entry were as follows:

  • Under 5's
  • 5-11 Years
  • 11-18 years
  • Over 18's

We had many entries sent in - thank you if you have entered - it was a terrific display of creativity and technical skill. The judges (Julia Maynard, Alex Maynard, Leesa LeMay and David Tingley) had a tough job  making the decisions for winning entries.

Griffix

Griffix: The clever system for learning to write

Help your child to write properly from the outset

If you have children or grandchildren, do you worry about how they grip a pen or pencil? Small children can be very determined and as a result it can be difficult to get them to hold a pen or pencil correctly.
